Hand-Selected to Share Marketing Insights with Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada
Shayah was chosen by the Chamber of Commerce to attend an intimate 2-hour closed door meeting with the Prime Minister of Canada and 11 other business owners to discuss economic growth in Canada. Shayah was selected to represent women-owned businesses and share her insight on how design and marketing will help support small business growth in Ontario.

Hi, I’m Shayah - Founder of Virtuwell Balance
In 2016, after experiencing burnout from my professional career in health information management, I took a six-month sabbatical and booked a one-way ticket to India. There, I immersed myself in a Yoga Teacher Training that sparked a passion for wellness and holistic living. This experience was so transformative that, upon my return, it inspired me to become certified in Holistic Nutrition and combine these powerful healing modalities (of yoga and nutrition) into a preventive health program for my local community which was implemented across 5 yoga studios, 3 gyms, and a chiropractic office.
To my surprise, I really enjoyed the design and marketing side of running my health and wellness program.
2 years later, I left my professional career in the hospital behind to merge my love for holistic wellness with my skills in design and marketing. With over a decade of experience in the health and wellness industry, I felt an intuitive nudge to support growing health practitioners struggling with misaligned branding, outdated websites, and ineffective marketing, to ensure their digital presence reflects their growth and also amplifies the vital education and advocacy they are committed to sharing.
I couldn't keep up with the number of practitioners who wanted to work 1:1 with me - this is how our agency was born!
In 2019, I founded Virtuwell Balance - a holistic design and marketing agency committed to transforming the digital presence of health practitioners with a mindful, strategic approach.
Since opening our doors, we’ve been privileged to partner with over 400 clients, including some featured on CNN, Yahoo and Thrive Global.
Our dedicated team is a small group of women who bring empathy and expertise to every project. We take pride in offering a personalized, hands-on service to every client – making sure that each client’s digital presence is as authentic and professional as their practice.
